A twelve-episode television series produced by Platinum Vision in 2017, serving as the grand finale of the Saiyuki anime saga.

Saiyuki RELOAD BLAST is a 12-episode television anime produced by Platinum Vision and directed by Hideaki Nakano. It aired from July 5 to September 20, 2017, on TV Tokyo and several other Japanese television stations, adapted from Kazuya Minekura's manga Saiyuki RELOAD BLAST. Serving as the finale of the Saiyuki anime series, this work returns after a 13-year hiatus. The plot picks up after the 2004 series Saiyuki RELOAD GUNLOCK, as Tripitaka and his companions finally enter the borders of the Tianzhu Kingdom after their long journey. In this land, the demonic energy is even more oppressive, and sinister arts are exceptionally frequent. The group must not only face the final conspiracy surrounding the resurrection of their arch-enemy, the Bull Demon King, but also confront the sealed tragic fate of five hundred years ago, making definitive choices about their respective pasts and futures. Crunchyroll handled the North American overseas distribution, while Muse Communication acted as the agent for South Asia and Southeast Asia. As the concluding chapter of the series, BLAST features a completely refreshed art style, paying tribute to and bringing to a close the 17-year history of the Saiyuki anime adaptations.
