Saiyuki RELOAD BLAST is a manga series written and illustrated by Kazuya Minekura, serialized in Ichijinsha's Monthly Comic Zero Sum since December 2009. It serves as the final chapter of the overarching Saiyuki series. Picking up where Saiyuki RELOAD left off, the story follows Tripitaka, Sun Wukong, Zhu Bajie (Zhu Wuneng), and Sha Wujing as they finally reach the borders of the Tianzhu Kingdom after their long journey west. There, they confront the truth behind a tragedy from five hundred years ago and face a final showdown with those attempting to resurrect ancient demons. Due to the author's health issues, the pace of the work slowed starting in July 2013, and it entered a hiatus lasting several years beginning in October 2017; serialization resumed on September 28, 2024. As of October 2017, three tankōbon volumes have been released. From July to September 2017, Platinum Vision adapted the series into a 12-episode TV anime, which aired on stations such as Tokyo MX and TV Aichi. Directed by Hideaki Nakano, it ranked third in the "2017 Summer Anime Popularity Poll" among Japanese viewers.
